What is Cell Landscape?

Cell Landscape is a database of single cell RNA sequencing atlas from multiple species. Click “Browse” on the top of the homepage to get an overview of this website.

How do I search a specific gene in a species?

Click “Search” on the top of the homepage and then click “Search” on the pull down menu. Select species and type the gene name you want to search, then press “search”. The returned results include the exprssion level of this gene in each celltype/tissue of the selected species.

Can I get the expreeion level of a specific gene in one species and the expreeion level of its orthologs in other species simultaneously?

Yes. Just click “Search” on the top of the homepage and then click “Search Orthologs”. Input the gene name and then press “search”. The returned results include the exprssion level of this gene and its orthologs within each celltypes of human, mouse and zebrafish. Currently, this tool only recognizes the input of human gene name so make sure your input is a gene name of human gene (e.g. XBP1 rather than Xbp1).

Can I download DGE matrix and cell annotation of these atlas?

Of course. Click “Download” on the top of the homepage and then you will see the download link for DGE matrix and cell annotation files.

Can I get more information about each atlas?

Yes. Simply press the “Data & Details” button at the section of each atlas on the homepage.
