  • Please note the deadline for application is August 1, 2009
Requirements
  • The summer school addresses students at advanced doctorate level or beyond with a background in either Computer Science, Mathematics, or Biology with an interest in Computational Biology.
  • Participants should hold a Master of Science degree or equivalent qualification. A good command of English is a major prerequisite for participation.
  • The organizers can supply full funding of travel and accomodation for participants from mainland China (in general, seat tickets on domestic trains). For participants from outside China, we can contribute support for travel and accomodation expenses (in general, half air ticket price with an upper limit of EUR 500 or USD 600 or RMB 5000).
  • Please note that we have limited funding for students travelling from abroad. We try our best to distribute these limited funds as equally and fair as possible.
  • If you want to participate, please follow the guidelines below - we are looking forward to welcome you in Hangzhou!
Application Procedure
Please send the following documents and information (in English) by email to jjcao@zju.edu.cn and/or mchen@zju.edu.cn
  • A motivation letter: Write 1-2 paragraphs on why the summer school is of particular interest for you.
  • A curriculum vitae.
  • An extended abstract (up to 4 pages).
  • A letter of recommendation (preferred) or a copy of your most recent study certificate or a Study record, i.e., a list of all the lectures and seminars attended by you, including the grades of examinations) (in English or along with an English translation).
  • If you are a studnet from outside Mainland China, please specify for how much travel support you want to apply.
